Purpose

The role of Group Risk and Business Continuity Lead is to design, deliver and implement risk & business continuity strategy, policies and processes within the Shaw Trust Group. Providing hands-on development of risk models involving commercial, financial and operational risk, giving assurance that controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support.

A second line of defence role, responsible for oversight of the first line including independent identification, analysis, monitoring, reporting and escalation of all risk types arising from Shaw Trust Group business activities. Working in collaboration with members of the wider organisation, with responsibility for developing clear and appropriate processes, systems and controls. Providing assurance to the senior leadership that key risks are identified, and controls are in place and working well across Operations.

**Essential**:
**You will have**:
Educated to degree level and/or significant experience within a relevant field (i.e., Risk Management, Management or Business Studies, Finance or Economics, Science, Statistics, Engineering, Law)
An understanding of Risk & Control Management - tools and techniques.
Experienced in the monitoring and oversight of processes, procedures, policies and controls
Ability to manipulate and translate complex data
Strong commercial acumen and project management capability
