This role that will be instrumental in implementing sustainable technologies into curriculum alongside working with college management teams and external partners to ensure businesses can develop innovative and effective sustainable practices.

Working with curriculum, the Sustainability Lead will support academic staff to develop a sustainable curriculum offer across Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeship provision, ensuring that students and apprentices develop non-perishable skills that will prepare them for future employment opportunities.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Implements the Bradford College vision for a sustainable green skills curriculum offer across Further Educations, Higher Education and Apprenticeships
- Works with curriculum teams to develop their offer, identifying skills needed in industry that can enhance the student’s technical skills
- Contributes to the College sustainability strategy, influencing capital plans and the implementation of new green technology
- Establishes and leads a network of businesses to understand and implement Sustainable Development Goals, engaging key individuals that can shape and implement effective sustainable practices
- Constantly strives to improve the student experience with a view to further extending opportunities and progression to further study or employment
- Keeps abreast of national qualifications on offer, collaborating with curriculum teams to
- Responds to national, regional and local polices by developing innovative models of delivery and monitoring their effectiveness
- Builds strong links with relevant agencies; including employers, community and voluntary sector and schools to extend student enhancement and enrichment opportunities

**Education & Training**
- Degree or Level 5 professional qualification
- GCSE 5 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

- An understanding of the challenges faced by students and an ability to lead a supportive engagement

- Strong networking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to utilise IT and ILT both within learning and for administrative purposes
