If so, Parker Franklyn is assisting a regional insurance business that is looking to appoint a Commercial Account Handler/ Manager to its team in West Yorkshire. The company control circa £15m in written premium and have 16 people within the business. TheMD is a time-served insurance professional that looks to build long-term client relationships, grow by appointing quality people with the right behaviours, and generously reward staff for their hard work and commitment. They invest heavily, both time and money,to bring good people through the ranks.

Ultimately, your role is to ensure that clients receive the best possible service within your control and areas of responsibility, all helping in the main goal being retained as their Broker. This will include supporting portfolio of clients, across a rangeof industry sectors, throughout the policy period. The risks you handle will predominately be across the main commercial classes, most of which would be in the 'mid-corporate’ space. You will assist with the placement of new business that the client facingteam bring in, negotiating terms with the insurer panel, handle any midterms adjustments that present themselves, as well as preparing renewal presentations and placing renewals with insurers.

Experience wise, they are looking for someone that has some knowledge of commercial insurance, whether that is cross-class or just one specialist area, as they will be able to upskill you in other areas if required. You will be tenacious, proactive, andfocused on being the best you possibly can be, ultimately though, you will be a genuinely nice person that cares about solving your clients’/ prospects problems. The business will invest a lot of time and care in your development, so you can be from any commercialinsurance background, such as SME.

In return, you will receive a basic salary commensurate with your experience, so even seasoned Account Handlers will be considered. There is option for development and progression which will be linked to your personal career goals, whether this be movinginto a Broking Manager type position or becoming an Account Executive, nothing is off the table for hardworking and committed individuals.
