Axcis Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Southport, who are looking for a teaching assistant to their team. This role would be part time, working 2-3 days per week, 8.30am - 3.30pm. The successful applicant would be working 1-1 with an extremely challenging child. The pupil is in year 3 and she has been suspended 4 times this academic year already. She is due to start a dual placement with an alternative provision, so will have 2 or 3 days there, and then the remainder of her week be spent in the mainstream primary.

The student has significant behaviour/anger issues and has been suspended for physical attacks. Applicants MUST have previous experience working with similar children and be resilient. Training in Team Teach or other forms of behaviour management or restraint would be preferred but is not a requirement.

The role is based in a large primary school in the centre of Southport. The school was rated as 'good' in its most recent inspection and there is a strong team of staff to help any new starters settle in. There are excellent public transport links within walking distance of the school, and there is a car park on site for drivers.
