**About The Role**:
EKC Group are looking for a Head of Centre to manage a new Alternative provision centre that is committed to supporting post-16 learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, anxiety and/or behavioural issues. Aiming to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where every learner feels valued and supported on their journey back to mainstream FE, apprenticeship, or full-time employment with a view to growing the provision to become a community education provider.

Through a tailored Project based core curriculum and bespoke support system, you will strive to lead a safe and inspiring space where learners work towards returning to mainstream FE, apprenticeship, or full-time employment

As a Head of Centre, you will be responsible for managing a brand-new provision in Aylesham, promoting high standards in a positive and supportive culture that aspires to be outstanding, with the potential to grow the provision to support wider local community needs such as adult and community education.

In the role of Head of Centre, responsibilities will include being responsible for the quality of programme provision and to actively encourage excellence in teaching and to effectively manage a delegated budget.

**About You**:
Our ambition is to find an experienced yet innovative and proactive individual to join our management team to take forward and shape the future of the provision. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that curriculum delivery is of the highest quality whilst ensuring the required support being in place to help all learners thrive and transition back into mainstream FE, apprenticeships or full-time employment.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree level qualification and a recognised teaching qualification (DET/PGCE/CertEd). With demonstrable teaching practice at good or outstanding level, you will also have experience of curriculum planning and development, understand Project based learning and a proven ability to manage and lead an experienced, professional team to deliver results; an understanding of SEMH learners and Trauma informed practice. This role will also act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the provision, so some experience of handling safeguarding matters would be beneficial, although full DSL training will be provided.
