**Learning Support Assistant - Ty Trafle School**

**Location: Ty Trafle School, Gowerton, Swansea.**

**Salary: £12.94 per hour, 34 hours per week,** 39 weeks per year Term Time Only**

Priority Childcare provide specialist schools, community homes, and community-based work-skills services. Ty Trafle provides medium to longer term placements for children and young people between the ages of 8 and 14. Our model at Ty Trafle, transitions children and young people to foster care, family or a return home. They have access to therapeutic provision should this be required, delivered by the Hiraeth Institute and are provided with a period of stability, reinforced with appropriate boundaries and consistent care and role models.

There is an Estyn registered school on site and, in addition, and if appropriate, residents are supported in mainstream school.

Priority Childcare has service level agreements with several independent foster services to assist in moving young people to appropriate placements.

***A typical day will include**:

- Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
- Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation and assessment of learning opportunities.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
- Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times or with personal care.
