**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Managing Accounts Payable functions using Accounting system and Excel spreadsheets.
- Verify that all invoices are supported by duly approved purchase orders when required, signed receiving documentation and/or the approval of authorised management personnel.
- Verify prices, quantities and extensions against purchase order as required. Bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Financial Controller.
- Maintain an efficient electronic filing by vendor containing complete invoices and backups for efficient access after payment. All filing is to be kept current at all times.
- Process all Accounts Payable invoices, Expense claims and all payments through the purchasing and Accounting system.
- Forward all stop payment to the Financial Controller and ensure voided payments are put through the computer systems.
- Obtain and reconcile monthly vendor statements, and as they are required resolve all discrepancies directly with the vendor.
- Prepare manual payment request as they are required or if directed by the Controller.
- Run the required month-end reports to close the Accounts Payable cycle.
- Prepare journal entry for accrual of invoices received after closing and for good and services received, but not yet invoiced.
- Maintain a separate electronic file for purchases of all operating equipment items and capital expenditure items under the direction of the Controller.
- Liaise with other team members to ensure efficient and timely processing of payments in respect of Travel agency commission, Refunds and credit card payments.
- Previouscexperience in similar position within Accounts Payable
- Be knowledgeable in managing Accounts Payable processes, analytical and inquisitive
- Accurate documenting skills and attention to detail, Methodical when following up on issues
- Planning and organizational skills
- Proficient in using Purchasing system/Accounting system and MS Excel.
- People management skills and ability to work in a team
- Have a keen desire to make a difference and demonstrate this by taking ownership in order to succeed customers’ expectations
- Take pride in service delivery in order to get it right the first time.
- Is flexible to the needs of the individual, team and business
