An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Public Protection Team (Child Protection) for highly motivated and enthusiastic Health Visitor, Midwife, or Registered Nurses to undertake the duties of Public Protection Advisor (Child Protection).

The Public Protection Health Service consists of 3 key teams, Child Protection Team, Adult Support and Protection Team and Multi
- Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC). The initial focus for this post will be within the Child Protection Team however there will be a requirement for further education and training to develop the role of a Public Protection Advisor.

We are a passionate, supportive and progressive team who are committed to service improvement. The team is made up of a Chief Nurse for Public Protection, Lead Nurse for Child and Adult Protection, 7.4 WTE Child Protection Advisors, 2 Adult Support and Protection Advisors and 2.5 administration assistants. We offer a robust mentorship programme to support new members to the team. You will be allocated a mentor to support your learning and practice for a period of time which will be mutually agreed. Following this mentorship period you will work with mínimal supervision but within a team who adopt a supportive and reflective learning culture and peer supervision models to support the complex nature of this work.
We are committed to staff wellbeing and supporting professional development.

You will be operationally managed and receive professional and clinical leadership from the Lead Nurses. A car driver/owner is essential.
