We are seeking a semi-skilled worker to join our timber kit manufacturing team, based at our production facility in Fenwick.

**About the role**

As a Factory Operative, you will play a key role in the production and manufacturing of timber panels for use in a wide range of construction projects across Scotland.

Key roles and responsibilities include
- Work as part of a team to manufacture and produce quality timber panels for a wide range of construction projects.
- Work to tight deadlines, working safely and at a suitable pace.
- Main work area and tools for safety and efficiency.
- Work to 5s methodology.
- Ensure clear communication between colleagues, including reporting any issues to your Line manager.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and guidelines at all times.

**Your Skills and Experience**

This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in a production and/or construction environment, who is able to commute to our site in Fenwick and has experience of working in a manual role, using tools day-to-day and working to health & safety guidelines in their role day-to-day.
- SVQ in Joinery or equivalent experience in a relevant role, equivalent to SCQF level 6.
- Experience operating nail guns/hand tools and saws preferred.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, working safely and at a suitable pace.
- IT literate, able to operate basic IT systems including tablets, databases, etc.
- Effective communicator, both written and verbally.
- Time Management Skills - able to prioritise workload and clearly communicate to ensure programmes are met.
- Able to work diligently with mínimal supervision.
- Able to maintain a neat working environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the workplace and the ability to adhere to these.
- UK driving licence required along with access to your own vehicle.

Our timber kits are built in our own bespoke manufacturing facility using a combination of traditional craftmanship and modern frame line technology.

Tod Timber work with McTaggart Construction and other main contractors across Scotland.
