We are recruiting a Commercial Accountant to join our Manchester team

At MCR we have an exciting opportunity to join our successful and expanding finance team at our head office in Manchester.

Suitable for an ambitious ACCA/CIMA qualified Commercial Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time in the Company’s growth strategy. If your strength is financial insights and is looking for an environment where you are supported to deliverto a high standard and enabled to take ownership in all you do, then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

- Demonstrating experience in quick learning and building relationships in a new role and company
- Working closely with banks and lenders for all property financing requirements
- Analysing lender's terms, to work out the best terms as per group requirements
- Preparing budget / detailed forecasts including input from commercial areas to feed into the company budget/forecast
- Take ownership of providing month-end variance analysis, outlining emerging trends or issues, and sharing actionable insights
- Experience in producing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual figures to deadlines
- Team Management - liaising with both internal staff and suppliers to resolve issues
- Bridging the gap between quantity surveyors, project managers, and finance
- Providing day-to-day financial support to the Directors
- Working proactively with senior leadership to complete thorough financial reviews of commercial contracts
- Reviewing and reading facilities documents

Skills & Requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA etc)
- Property experience
- Experience dealing with banks and lenders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to “hit the ground running”
