In a period of continued growth, the Northern region are seeking an experiencedcommercial accountant to join an established finance function.
Your New Role As Commercial Accountant:
As Commercial Accountant you shall assist in the continuous improvements to the commercial financial detail available to the wider and local business units. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will work in close collaboration with the Operational Partnersand the UK Finance team. The Commercial Accountant will work alongside the wider business to provide exceptional financial and commercial leadership to enable the success of the strategic plan. Ensuring governance and strong financial controls, this role shallwork within a diverse finance team that operates on digital platforms to challenge, direct, and support the local and wider business units.
Main role duties:

- Production of management accounts to enable partnering with stakeholders
- Month end and year end journals
- Assist in the budgets / Forecasting
- Variance analysis and financial reporting to support the business
- Month end process management and enhancement to processes across the finance function.
- Assist, where appropriate, the central finance team
- Support to the operational teams with bids / tenders
- Provide cover to other business units during periods of annual leave
- Ad hoc projects and associated duties
Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:
To be considered for this role you shall have previous experience in a similar role. A qualified accountant with at least 2 years experience at a senior level, you shall have strong commercial awareness and the ability to liaise with stakeholders. With solidanalytical skills, you shall have the ability to manage workload effectively. An advanced user of Excel, you shall also have knowledge larger ERP systems and the ability to manipulate data.
