A West Midlands Local Authority, are looking for a children’s Team Manager to join their Leaving Care Service

As a Team Manager within this service you will be working with young Adults. You will have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care and a good understanding of the challenges facing young people leaving care.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- To achieve the best possible positive outcomes for children and young people across the service.
- To support and direct the work of the Team and the priorities therein through a reflective and systemic approach to all work with children, young people and families.
- To ensure that a systemic approach is deployed both in terms of practitioners working together on case work and direct work with children and families
- To undertake the prioritisation and allocation of work within the Team, ensuring focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes.
- To prepare, attend and chair where applicable a range of meetings and decision-making forums on specific cases as required and in consultation with the principal manager.

**Requirements of the role**:

- Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registered
- Must have strong background & working knowledge within statutory children’s services (local authority)
- Must have management experience within a local authority children’s services setting
- You will be familiar with key legislation and national policy.
