**About the Role**
Our Front of House Team are the stars of our resort who warmly welcome our guests and are their point of contact throughout their stay with us. We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Doorman to join our team, on a casual basis. You will support our team in providing excellent customer service, ensuring all guests have a memorable and magical stay from the moment they arrive at the entrance.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Old Course Hotel Arrival Responsibilities**
- Greet guest with “sense of arrival” by using proper greeting and last name.
- Ensure that the front door is manned.
- Ensure that guests are met before arrival into the hotel by approaching the guests before they approach the door.
- Ensure guests are introduced to the Receptionist.
- If necessary to take luggage up to a guest room, then - Upon identification of guest and room number, analyze the logistics and the most efficient procedures of bringing luggage to guest’s room.
- In the absence of a receptionist ensure that once in the guest’s room, hang any garments in the closet and explain the closet amenities and place any luggage on a luggage rack. Proceed to explain the guest directory, TV, bathroom fixtures, lighting, fire exits, and retrieve ice if requested.
- Park guest’s vehicle if requested or give directions to our parking areas.
**Old Course Hotel Departure Responsibilities**
- Promptly and courteously greet guests at the main door with the proper greeting and using their last name.
- If required - Remove luggage from guest’s room and bring it to the appropriate area, lobby, parking area, store in storage closet, or load into guest’s vehicle.
- Retrieve vehicle when requested.
**Message and Delivery Responsibilities**
- Deliver messages from Front Desk or Concierge to guests.
- Deliver newspapers to guest’s room upon request.
- Deliver amenities or a package to guest’s room.
- Deliver mail to various departments within the hotel.
- Any other miscellaneous deliveries required by guests or hotel staff.
**Work Area Responsibilities**
*** - Maintain a clean work area by making sure the entire façade of the hotel is free of debris, cigarette ends, ashtrays cleaned, lights working, flowers watered.
- Be aware of the outside facilities and make sure to maintain a clean front entrance.
- Doorways and outlying areas swept daily.
- Outside urns are kept clean.
- Clean any handprints or dirt on the windows.
- Main door and walkway are properly lit.
**Information Responsibilities**

- Maintain a working knowledge of all in-house facilities and hours of operation, as well as daily activities and area attractions. Have a working knowledge of all Old Course Hotel facilities, including Kohler Waters Spa, golf courses and Dukes. Also have a general knowledge of the history of Kohler, St Andrews, and The Old Course Hotel.
- Promote all hotel restaurants and special daily promotions.
- Maintain all safety and emergency procedures.
- Follow Old Course Hotel policies and procedures.
