You will be responsible for supporting the achievement of the 18-week referral to treatment target and national Plastics and Neurosurgery standards, including taking appropriate actions to ensure that the Trust targets are being met for the Clinical Business Unit.

You will assist in the effective collection and recording of the patient pathways across the Unit and will support all administrative and clerical issues relating to patients’ pathway of care, tracking and supporting them from referral to treatment and/or discharge. This will include discussions with key members of the team including Performance Manager, Waiting List Clerks, Outpatient Clerks, Medical Secretaries, Medical
and Nursing Staff where appropriate in order to achieve patient care within target timescales.

You will be expected to produce weekly reports/updates for internal meetings and will be expected to actively monitor the patient tracking lists and monitor risks, giving regular updates of actions being taken.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships
with clinicians, managers and others within the Clinical
Business Unit and Trustwide service users.

Work across the Clinical Business Unit and Trust and
contribute to the delivery of performance targets for
services as appropriate.

To provide a key link between the department’s management team ensuring that national 18 week referral to Treatment (RTT) standards and national plastics and Neurosurgery standards and any other local target set by the Trust are managed/coordinated effectively and deadlines are met

The neurosurgery and plastic admin team, is a dedicated administrative team working together to offer a service to patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
There is an exceptional strong work ethic to support the delivery of care across the region.
Flexible working can be considered within the post, with staff working together to provide the best care to the patients referred into plastic and neurosurgery.
