If you have what we are looking for then you could be our new Head of Merchandising, ideally you would have 2 years of experience and be in a junior or assistant merchandising role now and this is the next step in your career, joining our very successful and talented team.

You will bring a wealth of experience from your 2 years in a retail merchandising environment, and it will be even more amazing if you have worked in the fashion retail sector. Don’t worry too much if you haven’t though as we know that your excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong commercial acumen, high level of attention to detail and your ability to respond quickly to changing demands of the business will see you in good stead within this creative and supportive team.

You will be used to working side by side with colleagues in a Buying Team, supporting data driven initiatives. This exciting opportunity requires a highly-motivated individual who shows initiative at every opportunity and who enjoys working as part of a dynamic, focussed but very friendly team.

**What will you be doing in more detail?**

**Main responsibilities of the role include**:

- Work closely with the buying team to analyse seasonal sales performance, profitability, consumer buying patterns, market trends and competitor activity to identify areas of opportunity and risk
- Responsibility for building the ‘Monday’ Pack each week
- Work closely with the buying team to compile & present seasonal product strategy, sourcing strategy, pricing strategy and financial KPI’s to senior management
- Work closely with the buying team to plan commercial and exciting ranges which meet the agreed strategy and deliver the agreed financial KPI’s, and sign-off with senior management team
- Determine stock requirements, in accordance with Demand Planning, and sign-off with senior management team prior to placing with suppliers.
- Clearly communicate purchase orders requirements to 3rd party suppliers and follow through to ensure they are fulfilled on time
- Develop close working relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure key business objectives are met
- Analyse performance on an ongoing basis and work closely with the buying team to maximise profitability and minimise risk through efficient control of spend and stock levels
- Propose and manage promotional activity, communicating with all relevant departments to ensure successful implementation and effectiveness
- Liaise with the teams to ensure product displays include best-sellers and new lines, and to remove discontinued lines, where appropriate
- Ensure teams are notified of all promotional activity and price changes in advance of ‘go live’ dates
- Monitor competitor and market activity and keep own skills, knowledge and experience up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and techniques to ensure planning and trading processes are effective and up to date
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant departments
- Lead additional work streams on behalf of the Merchandising team as appropriate.

**Who are we looking for?**
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years in a retail merchandising environment
- Good knowledge and experience of the UK fashion markets
- Proven track record of successfully implementing product strategy and achieving financial targets
- Intermediate Excel, Word and Powerpoint

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
