**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

The primary purpose of the role will be to support the Fleet Supply and In-life Manager with the development and management of all fleet management processes and lean management processes associated with Mobility Services and Rent-a-Car products. This roleensures the correct fleet availability by location on a National level which is critical to the client and the Partner Rental Locations ability to deliver their services and planned profitability.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the Fleet and In-Life Manager in providing a Fleet that is fit for purpose, which enables the Mobility Sales and Operations teams to deliver on their objectives. The fleet needs to be the correct model mix and specification to balance customer demands,volumes and disposal value expectation.
- Support the Pricing and Demand Manager in the execution and delivery of optimum fleet (ie. Decide how many vehicles, what those vehicles are and call them off/order with the Brands) at location launch and as required thereafter to ensure the Locations havethe right fleet to meet demand.
- Authorise fleet movements between locations to optimise utilisation in order to deliver greater profit and customer satisfaction whilst balancing operational movement cost priorities for the business
- Support the Fleet Supply and In-life manager with control of maintenance budgets for a very large, geographically dispersed fleet to ensure achievement of objectives
- Assist the Fleet Supply and In-Life Manager to build and maintain Supplier contacts - liaising, negotiating and relationship building with Dealers, Bodyshops, Insurance Companies, Paintshops, Tail-lift Specialists, Software suppliers etc. to ensure strongcommercial terms and SLA agreements can be maintained
- Manage fleet return standards and vehicle condition disputes; ensuring the high values involved are managed appropriately
- Manage relationships with dealers, insurers and body repairers effectively, ensuring the minimisation of fleet down time to drive the significant financial benefitS, reporting regularly to the Fleet Supply and In-Life Manager
- Manage the re-taxing of vehicles as required to ensure the rental fleet is compliant at all times
- Create and manage all business processes, process mapping and delivery of change management to ensure correct procedures are being implemented and followed. Challenge existing processes and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose for new products inRent a Car and Mobility
- Assist the Fleet Supply and In-Life Manager in the planning of fleet supply; ordering the correct vehicle mix and volume to enable delivery of vehicles to fulfil the sales pipeline generated by the National Corporate Sales Managers and Regional Sales andOperations Managers and do so within budget
- Manage the defleeting (the process of removing fleet from a location at end of life on fleet) process and liaison with the client and Brand Remarketing teams
- Statutory reporting of fleet activity to ensure all risks to the business are minimised by having no uninsured vehicles on the road and to limit risk of fines from regulatory body.
**EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Fleet Management experience within the motor financial services/fleet industry
- Experience of working with a national franchised network
- Experience of analysing fleets in a wide geographic area
- Rental company defleet experience
- Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience

**SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED**
- Ability to build effective relationships to a senior level
- High level of interpersonal, influencing, communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of owning and resolving operational issues
- Strong organisation and planning skills, delivering high quality output to deadlines
- Action orientated with the ability to produce initiatives quickly to ensure fleet is optimised and ready to meet changing needs of customers
- Excellent data presentation skills
- Ability to collate and interpret operational performance data
- High level of PC competency
- Confident, articulate, highly numerate with the ability to analyse and present data
