Jaxdene Solutions, a premier recruitment agency, is thrilled to partner with a leading client, seeking a experienced Transport Planners. As a planner you will be responsible for producing accurate route planning ensuring optimum utilisation of all fleet vehicles.

About the Role:
This role requires a highly organized, proactive individual who thrives in managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategically plan efficient delivery routes to maximise cost savings and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and address any challenges or potential solutions.
- Ensure legal compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with Planning Manager, Senior Planner and Shift Managers to manage rota, absence, holidays and driver communication.
- Evaluate routes for profitability, maintain company standards, and promote a positive health and safety culture.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced, day 1 day 2 delivery operation.
- Dealing with customers’ orders from percentage load fill, pallet count, etc. and building them into an efficient plan minimising empty running and maximising profitability whilst still meeting customers agreed KPI targets

Qualifications:
Core
- Effective Communication: Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and various teams. Fluency in English is required.
- Organisational Skills: Strong prioritisation and attention to detail when managing various tasks and responsibilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel and comfortable using multiple IT systems.
- Flexible with work times
- Self-motivated and willing to learn

Desirable
- Previous experience of working as a Transport Planner or similar operational role in a multi-site Transport environment
- Ideally Knowledge of transport systems such as ESP, GTS
