Part Time purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant

Bradford

25 - 30 hours per week

This is a part time position (ideally 25 - 30 hours per week) working in a small finance team you will be responsible for the management and efficient running of the Purchase Ledger function ensuring all purchase invoices are processed effectively and making sure that making sure that all queries are dealt with in a professional manner.

The duties include, but are not limited to
- Processing all invoices & credits from receipt to cleared status, whilst charging the correct general ledger account.
- Resolving queries
- Ensuring continued supply of goods by managing overdue balances.
- Build relationships with suppliers
- Raising and sending manual payments
- Raising and sending BACS payments
- Setting up new vendor accounts
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Reconciling intercompany balances
- Filing cleared and paid invoices
- Coding to prepayments and fixed assets
- Balance sheet control account checks and reconciliation
- Raising monthly journal accruals
- Posting accrual journals
- Reception & post cover
- Assisting other finance department staff during holidays and busy periods
