**Communications Officer**
Are you an experienced Communication Specialist in search for an exciting new job opportunity? If so, one of the largest Central Government agencies based in London are looking to recruit a Communications Officer on a 6-month contract (with possibility offurther extensions) to join their team. The role is full time, Monday to Friday and offers hybrid work, 2 to 3 days work from home.
**Purpose of the role**:
The role requires an experienced Communications Specialist to join the L&D Communications and Engagement Team - directly supporting the organisation’s commitment to developing a culture of learning where everyone can thrive and where everyone is encouragedto learn from experience, from others and constantly strive to improve.
This role holder will have strong track record of managing, developing, and delivering successful and innovative communications, campaigns, and digital content. They’ll have an interest in, and be motivated by, contributing to the strategic aims, and bringingpositive change. Highly developed communication skills are essential with an ability to shape communications plans and deliver high quality engaging products for a range of audiences to tight deadlines
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provide L&D Communications and Engagement Team with specialist communications expertise, actively advising and influence on the best means to achieving the delivery of key outcomes, maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholdersand key external partners
- Create, maintain, and deliver communications strategy and plans, mapped to key stakeholder needs, in support of the strategic objectives for Learning & Development
- Create clear compelling narratives and messaging to drive engagement across the organisation
- Produce a range of collateral targeted to different internal and external audiences for a variety of formats and channels, seeking to raise the profile of L&D initiatives and support the Continuous Professional Development of the workforce. Responsibilitieswill include the production of welcome/induction packs, internal newsletters, intranet articles, the refreshing of, web and video content and presentations
- Work collaboratively and proactively across the L&D teams and the Directorate of Media and communications to ensure communications are aligned/coordinated with corporate messaging and campaigns
- Ensure that organisational branding, guidelines, and communications standards are adhered to
- Actively seek and monitor effectiveness of communications, and ensure feedback is incorporated into future deliverables.
- Support the monitoring and measurement of communications activity, providing reports where required and use the analysis to drive continual improvement and development.
- Be aware of and actively seek out external insight / research / best practice and new ideas to help drive the development of digital communications practices and processes and continual improvement
