SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 child

Spalding Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a child with special educational needs in Year 2. Applicants must have a minimum of a Level 3 diploma in specialist support for teaching & learning in schools. If you are someone who believes that all pupils, regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire our young people, then this job is for you.

The post is part time, band G3.6 to G3.9 £17,040 - 17,987 (actual), 31.25 hours per week, term time only. This position is for a fixed period and will end when the child’s needs change or he leaves the school.

**If you can provide the love, care and support for a child who**
- Requires support to foster social and communication skills.
- Requires support to enable him to focus on learning.
- Requires some intimate care support.

If you can adapt the curriculum in the moment to meet his needs, then you could be just the person needed to support and guide this child through their years at Spalding Primary Academy.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, work as part of team but be able to use your own initiative and be willing to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances. You will need to have patience, resilience, calmness and a positive mindset.
