**About the role**
Are you looking to be part of an exceptional workplace that values your expertise and technical skills? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented **Planner** to join our **Rail Team **in** London** and make a meaningful impact.
Following successful contract awards with Transport For London on London Underground for the Piccadilly Line power upgrade and Beckton Depot. We are excited to have a wide range of works to accomplish.
**What you'll be doing**
- Ensure that the programme content is compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.
- Develop and agree in collaboration a logical sequence ensuring that the most efficient design, procurement & construction strategy is adopted for the delivery of the works.
- Generate the tender programme and supporting information in accordance with tender requirements.
- Produce, manage and maintain the Contract Programme in accordance with planning procedures under the guidance of the Planning/Project Lead.
- Display and evaluate the project critical path and advise the project team of the results and any appropriate corrective action.
- Produce and maintain project baselines and execute the change control process as appropriate.
- Manage labour, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project objectives while minimizing costs and delays.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring performance, and resolving contract-related issues.
**Who we're looking for**
- Demonstrated experience in successfully planning and managing projects from initiation to completion using planning software and tools like Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6 or ASTA.
- Strong knowledge of construction, including construction methodology, processes, and requirements, to facilitate effective project planning.
- A background in construction or another sector with transferrable skills aligned with construction demands.
- Understanding of project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of various forms of tender and contract documents, and specifications.
- Previous experience of managing relationships with project stakeholders, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
