An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Brighter-Horizon Care and Support Limited team as a Residential Support Worker within a registered Children’s Home. **Essential Job Requirements**
- Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes
- Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education, and extracurricular activities
- Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
- Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
- Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
- Have resilience, motivation, and determination
- Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
- Be inclusive to all children and young people
- Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
- Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Full UK driving licence
**Desirable Attributes**
- Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification funded by the organisation
- Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Children’s Homes
- Experience of Ofsted inspections
- Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
Shift work with a positive work life balance
- Sleep-in rate is at the comprehensive rate of £60 per sleep-in.
