Dispatch Controller Afternoon

WRS are looking to employ someone to operate in our busy 24/7 breakdown and recovery control room.

Weston Recovery Services deals with approximately 15,000 breakdowns a year on behalf of the major motoring organisations, we cover a large area of the South West from our depots in Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Wellington. We are a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year business that prides ourselves in offering top quality service to our customers.

We are looking for someone to operate within the day to day running of the control room, your primary role will be as a breakdown recovery controller which involves (but is not limited to):

- Accepting and managing breakdowns and recoveries using Apex RMS, a specialist software package for our industry
- Answering and making telephone calls
- Managing and dealing with vehicles we have recovered for the Police and Highways Agency. Utilising their bespoke management software to ensure notice letters and queries are dealt with efficiently and proactively
- Dealing with customers who arrive at our control room to collect personal effects from vehicles, and salvage companies who come to collect vehicles
- Performing property searches on recovered vehicles and ensuring these are logged accurately.
- Raising invoices and taking payments.
- Issuing and exchanging gas bottles on behalf of BOC.
- Planning and arranging redeliveries and journey planning.
- Ensuring good utilisation of our courtesy car fleet.
- At all times maintain morale and work in the best interests of the company.

This role will work closely with your fellow controllers, assisted by and reporting to your direct manager. The working hours for this position vary as per the control room rota but currently operate on a 2 week rolling pattern, but some level of flexibility is needed to cover holiday and sickness.

Salary based on number of hours worked, previous experience and skill set.
