CAFE MANAGER

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum + company benefits working day time shifts only

We are delighted to have been asked to recruit for this position, for an established and successful company that is a leader in their field and serves a quality fresh food menu.

The Cafe Manager we are looking for will have a quality food led background, exceptional customer service skills, a real eye for detail, the ability to recruit and train great people and build sales. Alongside being financially and commercially astute.

The cafe is counter service in style and the food is all fresh with a morning breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea offer. All delivered with attentive service putting the customer experience at the heart of everything they do.

Due to its location, experience of managing a catering operation within a kids attraction, play park or soft play centre would be advantageous although not essential.

A massive bonus is that it is a day time only operation so you will have a great work life balance.

ROLE - CAFE MANAGER

As the Cafe Manager you will:

- Manage all day to day operations
- Control labour, stock and all costs & budgets
- Recruit, train and develop your team
- Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front
- Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
- Oversee and work closely with the kitchen team
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Work to company targets and KPIs'

ATTRIBUTES - CAFE MANAGER
- Experience as a restaurant/cafe/coffee shop manager in busy commercial customer facing operations
- Strong financial & commercial acumen - P & L accountability
- Excellent team development, communication and people management skills
- A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
- An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
- The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
- Strong leadership, coaching, performance management and people development skills
- A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
- IT literate - working with systems & process
