**Inclusion Development Partner - SEND**
**Day Rate**:£200 - £250 per day

**Contract**:Until 31st July 2023 - Full Time

**We are working with a Local Authority, seeking a dynamic, qualified teacher and SENCO with significant knowledge of SEND to support and train primary and secondary settings.**

The role of the Inclusion Development Partner (IDP) is to provide support and guidance to education providers in meeting the needs of children with SEND and additional needs in relation to inclusion, attainment and equality by legislation and statutory duties.

As the IDP, you will work with schools and other education providers to build the capacity to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs with the SEN support pathway. The IDP will work under the direction of the Sensory and InclusionTeam Manager, linking up with the EHC team to ensure the early identification of children with SEND and to embed the use of good quality teaching and planning in meeting their needs.

**To be successful in this role, you will have:
**- Considerable experience in SEN
- Knowledge of the SEND funding and the SEN Code of Practice 2015
- The SENCO qualification and be able to be a credible partner to schools.

This role will require several on-site visits, so you must be available to travel to schools in the Birmingham area.

**What you'll be doing day to day:
**- Taking responsibility for the development of a relevant and high-quality CPD framework and communication network for SENCOs and staff in schools to promote inclusion
- Facilitating coaching support and guidance for SENCOs in the implementation of the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle for SEND and the production of an agreed SEND Support Plan
- Ensuring SENCOs are fully aware of services, resources and strategies to meet the needs of children with SEND in their school
- Ensuring appropriate levels of challenge and support are provided to schools and education providers to ensure maximum outcomes for children and young people
- Co-ordinating training for school staff and governors to build understanding and increase capacity in promoting the education of key groups
- Having direct liaison and acting as a key worker for families within the Birmingham area who require support and advice for best practice inclusion for their child
