Fundraising Consultant

Prospectus is excited to be working exclusively with the Norwegian Refugee Council - UK Representation (NRC-UK) to help them recruit for a Fundraising Consultant to assess the current UK fundraising landscape. The Norwegian Refugee Council is an independent humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. They protect displaced people and support them as they build a new future. NRC started their relief efforts after World War Two. Today, they work in both new and protracted crises across 35 countries. They specialise in six areas: food security, education, shelter, legal assistance, camp management, and water, sanitation and hygiene.

NRC UK was established in 2020 with the main objective of strengthening the profile, outreach and impact of the Norwegian Refugee Council as a humanitarian organisation in the United Kingdom.

NRC UK would like to assess the current UK fundraising landscape by identifying whether/how they can access individual giving from the general public. The study requires an analysis of trends, motivations and incentives related to donations from the UK public to humanitarian crises. It also needs to include a review of NRC UK’s added value and comparative advantage, as well as challenges and barriers, to becoming an attractive organisation for the UK public to support. Finally, NRC UK would like to explore the actions that would need to be taken and the investments needed to promote and receive money from individual giving.
