**Salary**: £10.90 per hour

Bore Place, an education and sustainability charity with a venue at its heart, is excited to offer a paid internship programme to a young person looking to start their career. We are looking for someone with a good work ethic, a commitment to inspiring people of all ages to become more environmentally engaged, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to support us to provide stand-out experiences for our visitors.

We are looking for someone to get stuck into working at Bore Place and help us develop our community events programme, marketing communications and social media. In return we will pay you £10.90 per hour as well as a programme of training and development to ensure that, at the end of your time with us, you will have acquired a set of skills and the experience you need to set you up for the next step in your career.

The role is for 22.5 hours per week. The role will involve:

- a mix of desk-based research, planning and budgeting to develop our existing events and create a programme of new engaging events for a wide range of visitors.
- maintaining and updating social media and marketing communications to keep the local community and general public informed of events at Bore Place.
- hands-on delivery including some independent leading of volunteer task groups and school visits, walks and other events in line with our Community Programme.

Bore Place is committed to increasing the number of people it engages over the next 3 years and this role will be pivotal in helping to achieve this. You will also spend time with our SLT learning the inside workings of an organisation committed to inspiring people of all ages to connect with nature and the countryside, food, farming and sustainability, and developing its own practises to demonstrate best in class environmental management.

Bore Place is situated on an organic dairy farm, has its own organic market garden, educates over 5,000 children a year via its events and education programmes and also hosts corporate groups, weddings and other functions.

Due to our remote rural location, you would need to you to have your own transport and be able to drive.
