Based on the outskirts of Cambridge, Pretoria Energy is an ambitious, growing, renewable energy supplier at the cutting edge of investment, research and the production of carbon-neutral energy.

Weare seeking a motivated and competent Plant Operative to become an integral member of a new and developing pre-treatment facility which is nearing the end of the construction phase. The role is integral to continued business growth and development of specialist pre-treatment technologies. A typical shift will be varied and engaging, at the forefront of feedstock production. The role will have a direct impact on the biogas potential of our anaerobic digestion facilities and therefore our vision of providing carbon-neutral green energy.

This particular role is based in Mepal, North Cambridgeshire.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, as a Plant Operative, you will be responsible for:

- Operating a counterbalance forklift with due care and attention
- Completing daily checks and light maintenance
- Ensuring that the production and storage areas of the facility are clean & tidy
- Work alongside the plant operator with any required tasks
- Daily stock controlling to maintain appropriate supplies
- Adhering to strict health & safety standards
- Any other duties necessary to ensure optimal facility production

**Skills and qualifications**:

- Previous experience operating industrial machinery
- Good working knowledge of light maintenance duties
- Counterbalance License is desirable, however full training can be provided
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Motivated attitude with a willingness to learn

- Living or willing to relocate within a 60-minute commute of PE16 6XA
- Entitlement to work in the UK
- 4 days on/4 days off, 4 nights on/4 nights off shift pattern
- 12-hour shift patterns (06:00 - 18:00, 18:00-6:00)
- 20 days annual leave and public holidays
- Statutory workplace pension
- Additional overtime available

More than one position available for this role. As part of the interview process, you will attend a face-to-face interview plus a site tour with the Production Manager.
