Mar Hall Golf Resort and Spa are now recruiting for a Director of Sales.
The hotel is set within a tranquil 240 acre woodland estate with 53 individually designed bedrooms, estate lodges, a championship golf course, spa and swimming pool plus both fine dining and casual dining. Famous as a luxury wedding venue and for exclusive conference and banqueting facilities. Overlooking the River Clyde, this grand private residence enjoys a rural Scottish setting with views towards the Kilpatrick Hills.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Director of Sales to join us at Mar Hall Hotel & Spa Resort. This is a full time role based at the resort and will report to the General Manager and our UK Director of Sales.
**The role**:
This position is perfect for an individual who is looking to advance their career in Sales, working in a prestigious property and with a thriving and experienced wider Sales team.
Based within the hotel, you will work closely with the General Manager and the UK Sales Director to assist in driving strategy and top line revenue via various sources; strive to achieve budget and sales targets. This exciting role offers the opportunity to gain experience within various market segments.
**Your main responsibilities would be to**:
- Maintain relationships with local corporate businesses and agencies
- Source new business
- Manage the RFP process
- Review and create new packages and content for marketing material
- Drive customer engagement through various brand led incentives
- Represent the hotel on various trade shows, exhibitions, external appointments
- Maintain an active presence on Social media to promote the Hotel
- Work with the wider sales team to gain maximum exposure within the hospitality industry
- Keep yourself informed of any industry intel, trends and initiatives that may impact the hotel or local area
**What are we looking for?**

- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
- Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale
- Own reliable transport and the ability to travel on business as required
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of local market
- Knowledge of hospitality
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
