We are looking for a qualified teacher with experience of SEND in school, a track record of providing high quality support and preferably the SENDCo Accreditation to become our new SENDCO and part of our SLT.

The SENDCO element of the role would be a minimum of 3 days out of class to carry out the SENDCo/Inclusion/Pastoral care responsibilities. It is very important to us that we meet the needs of each individual child and work in close partnership with their families. We have established a very successful pastoral team including ELSA, Thrive practitioners and a fulltime Pastoral Support Worker who the new SENDCo will lead and support.

The role would involve:

- Delivering 1-1/group interventions
- Supporting the management of pupil behaviour
- Development, monitoring and evaluation of programmes of work
- Liaising with parents and outside agencies in support of pupil’s needs
- Preparation and collation of assessment and review documents for external support and referrals
- Providing support and advice to teaching and support staff to enable them to cater for the needs of those with SEND
- Promoting inclusion as our Pupil Premium Champion
- Supporting and leading our Dolphins provision and Thrive interventions
- Ensuring the progression and development of all pupils in line with the SEN code of practice and school policies and procedures
- Being part of our SLT and supporting the development of strategic plans and monitoring our progress as a school.

It may also include:

- DSL role with the support of 3 DDSLs and the PSW

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
