Childcare Worker

**About The Role**:
Our Childcare Worker will provide high quality childcare for the children of Twynham Primary School on a Friday, after school. We aim to strike a balance for our children of fun activities coupled with tasks which are productive/educational. We need a childcare worker who is just as confident leading a parachute game as they are helping children with their homework We aim to offer an after-school club provision that is valued and trusted by the community of parents/carers of Twynham Primary School.

This is an opportunity to work with wonderful children in our new purpose-built school-based facility, alongside a team of childcare workers who are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The working hours could suit individuals who prefer to work during term times only.

**Who we are looking for**
- hold a Level 2 Childcare qualification, or have equivalent experience in a childcare setting.
- are committed to undertaking further training or development as required.
- have a secure knowledge of child development and ways in which children can be encouraged to learn.
- have the ability to establish good relationships with children, parents and other staff, communicating clearly and sensitively. Have awareness of the need for confidentiality.
- can work co-operatively with the staff team and with parents to share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the children.
- be committed to the principles of equality of opportunity for all.
