Digital Communications Executive

**Salary**

£32,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience.

**Contract and working hours**

Permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week).

**Location**

Norwich or flexible. Home based with some UK travel.

**About Us**

MCS Foundation is an independent UK-wide charity with a mission to decarbonise homes, heat, and energy - for the benefit of our communities, our country, and our planet.

The Foundation was set up by the UK Government in 2018 to take ownership of the MCS standards scheme - now run through MCS Service Company - which defines, maintains, and ensures quality for renewable energy installations in homes and buildings. The Foundation uses the scheme’s profits to invest in initiatives that support growth in the sector.

Key themes in the Launchpad are supporting local authorities to develop and deliver mass scale approaches across housing ownership types and the scaling up of skills, jobs, and supply chains. We have an established grants and research programme which complements the Launchpad, and an external affairs function through which we advocate for policy change.

**About the Role**

This is an exciting time to join the MCS Foundation as we work to tackle one of the biggest challenges - the climate crisis. All buildings across the UK generate nearly 30% of all national CO2 emissions and our aim is to decarbonise homes, heat and the energy that powers them, so no small task.

We are looking for an experienced Digital Communications Executive who is a self-motivated, creative individual looking to make an impact in helping to solve the climate crisis. You will be part of the growing team at the MCS Foundation, working alongside the Communications Managers to create powerful, rich content for all the Foundation’s digital channels and web pages. The role will lead on the planning and delivery of all digital communication materials in support of our advocacy and sector innovation work, building our online presence and managing our e-newsletter.

**Skills & Experience**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in communications, marketing, digital or similar
- Ability to understand complex and technical policy issues and translate into clear messaging and target driven communications on social media
- Ability to help deliver integrated communication plans using a broad mix of digital channels
- Digital stakeholder engagement and basic GDPR
- Specific website design skills: Wordpress and Google Analytics
