Our client, a specialist in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity for a PR & Communications Lead to manage the internal and external communications ecosystem within the organisation and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Senior MarketingPartner, this is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days in the office and the rest remotely. The role is responsible for ensuring employees are kept informed, engaged and inspired, as well as developing the company brand and industry profile, supporting client acquisition,partner relationships and reputation management.

PR & Communications Lead - Key responsibilities:

- Responsible for the content ownership and coordination of all internal communications (organisational updates, ELT blogs, etc) and external communications with clients and delivery partners.
- Working with the Digital Marketing Lead, proactively and continuously recommend areas for improvement on the intranet.
- Maintain a robust forward plan of communications priorities that are fed by the activities of the wider marketing team, to ensure that clients and partners are kept fully informed of developments and initiatives.
- Act as the main point of contact with the retained PR agency, ensuring that they are kept fully informed of organisational developments, any emergent reputational risks and can support the formulation and delivery of a robust PR programme encompassing thoughtleadership, milestone moments and organisational announcements.
- Maintain ongoing oversight of market/industry movements, competitive risks and shifts in the topical agenda.
- Provide an inhouse PR service for the organisation’s subsidiaries to help raise their profile in the local, regional and trade media.
- Support crisis and issue management, ensuring that communications are sensitive, timely and in line with policy.
- Support the delivery of virtual and in-person events (internal and external), including identifying opportunities for senior leaders and colleagues to speak at industry events.
- Lead the media training for key spokespeople across the business.

PR & Communications Lead - Person Profile:

- Degree or equivalent with professional qualification in communications, PR or journalism.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar lead communications and PR position, developing and delivering communication strategies and plans
- Excellent written, verbal and presentational skills with a track record of producing high quality, inspiring and compelling materials across a range of audiences and purposes.
- Advising at a senior level on corporate communications matters.
- Experience of editing and publishing for print and online.
- Experience managing external PR agencies.
- Ability to identify strong news lines, producing press releases, and selling in stories, often under pressure, reacting quickly to emerging news.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with solid written and verbal communication skills.
