**Family Services Manager**Families in East London are facing increasing pressures and all too often, traditional public services have trouble reaching families who really need support. It is because of that, this well-established charity is focused on maximizing their resources to providesmarter and more effective services to the community. Their programmes are focused around supporting families, parents and carers, education, mental and physical health.
The Family Services Manager will oversee a range of community-based projects and a team of 8 employees working across East London. They will work with multiple funders and liaise closely with local authorities, schools and volunteers to ensure the programmesare high quality, effective and fully utilised.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Liaise with local authorities, funders, stakeholders and staff to maintain and grow the programmes, secure referrals and secure ongoing funding.
- Develop a volunteering service attracting new volunteers, matching to services and developing appropriate systems and support structures whilst training and holding staff accountable in the support of volunteers.
- Instigate, develop and manage working relationships with referral sources (local authorities, partners, health, schools and staff) to ensure consistent referral routes.
- Maintain all monitoring systems to ensure compliance and high-quality delivery.
- Manage, motivate and monitor the delivery team in line with internal policies and procedures including the Performance Management Framework, Health and Safety and the company’s code of conduct.
- Work with the delivery team and Comms to produce case studies and models of good practice to raise the profile of the work and secure future funding.
- Regularly monitor contract performance and staff caseloads to ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources and development opportunities for staff.
- Deliver front-line services as required in order to meet contractual targets.
- Ensure all data is well managed and applied to develop and demonstrate the strengths of company’s delivery models.
- Manage KPI’s and budget to agreed target.
- Develop an environment of trust where communication, sharing of knowledge and best practise is encouraged and where there is a willingness to tackle and resolve problems.
- Identify staff training needs and lead and assist on team training.
**Applicant Requirements**:
- An understanding of secondary education and funding systems
- Experience of working in a Trauma Informed approach
- An understanding of mental health services and statutory health services
- Experience of managing a budget
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience of managing multiple programmes, delivering targets in a challenging environment
