**Female Support Worker**

**Location**:Leamington Spa

**Salary**:£15 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- **Allergy Awareness**: Be vigilant and responsive to the individual's allergies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- **Autism Understanding**: Demonstrate a deep understanding of autism, offering support to help the individual adjust to changes and navigate social situations.
- **Sensory Issues**: Be sensitive to and knowledgeable about sensory issues, adapting support strategies accordingly.
- **Community Engagement**: Support the individual in accessing the community, facilitating social interactions, and fostering a sense of belonging.
- **Mental Health Support**: Provide support during mental health crises, offering emotional support and guidance. Knowledge and experience in managing self-harm incidents are essential.
- **Challenging Behaviour Management**: Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviours and aggression, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual.
- **Advocacy**: Act as an advocate for the individual, ensuring their voice is heard and respected in interactions with medical professionals and other relevant parties.
- **Daily Tasks**: Assist with day-to-day activities such as preparing meals, prompting hygiene practices, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- **Collaboration with Medical Professionals**: Work collaboratively with medical professionals to implement and monitor care plans, providing necessary updates and feedback.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in supporting individuals with autism, dyspraxia, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD is desirable.
- Understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
- Valid driver's license and access to a car.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and composed demeanour.

The refer a friend scheme is worth £200 in total. This is split £100 after the person has worked 100 hours and then another £100 when they have passed probation (6 months usually).
