**Purpose of Role**:

- Lead, organize and control the offshore construction, commissioning and start-up activities related to project offshore works in such a manner that the key objectives for projects are being met regarding safety, environment, cost, schedule, work environment and quality. h
- Responsible for the final hand-over to the customer and is thus responsible for the functionality (operability, maintainability and reliability) of the installed or modified facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and HSEQ procedures.
- Participate in Workpack and execution reviews with both on and offshore teams
- Participate in PTW production and reviews
- Supervise all construction and commissioning activities and ensure safety is the priority
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID and HAZOP meetings.
- Ensure execution work scopes meet HSE readiness requirements
- Ensures activities follow applicable Project Management Standard, Engineering Management Standards & VOSG Venture Ownership and Stage

- Supervise the activities of the offshore construction and commissioning teams. Personnel responsibilities for the teams. Set team goals, targets, coach and encourage the team to achieve significant results. Be an active and visible role model, and promote motivation, good communication and work environment within the teams.
- Manage, organize and control the construction, commissioning and start-up work at site in such a manner that the entire scope meets all objectives regarding safety, functionality, environment, cost, schedule, work environment and quality.
- Single Point of Contact between OIM and M&PS offshore construction and commissioning teams.
- Responsible for the efficient integration of the M&PS offshore construction & commissioning teams, plus vendors, with the existing platform personnel.
- Engage Operations, Maintenance & Facilities team leads with regards to enablement activities to achieve Project workscopes; inclusive of isolation design, inspections requirements, operational risk assessments (ORA), platform facilities activities.
- Liaise with the Maintenance, Facilities and Operations to ensure project work can be supported and achieved with a view of ongoing platform activities and cumulative risks.
- Manage Project activities within maintenance management systems (Maximo), to ensure core crew support & materials are allocated and available.
- Attend all key platform meetings; daily-calls, shift-handovers, permit meetings as M&PS representative.
- Ensure that all team activities and decisions support M&PS objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to construction and commissioning philosophies, strategies and plans that ensure a high degree of completion onshore and an efficient offshore commissioning, start-up and hand-over.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring all relevant procedures, specifications and other required information is in place at site for a controlled execution of all activities.
- Assist onshore Project Management Team in ensuring that construction & commissioning teams are being staffed with competent personnel and resourced to meet project requirements. Identify required skills and highlight any areas of deficiency or improvement.
- Monitor and highlight risks and opportunities in the offshore execution progress to ensure timely completion and hand-over. Ensure good quality of the hand-over, both as regards facilities and documentation.
- Give day-to-day guidance to the construction &commissioning team members.
- Ensure that all team members are informed on M&PS developments and ensure that all instructions are complied with.
- Provide participation in onshore pre-execute technical, planning and safety reviews.
- Promote knowledge sharing - share own project experiences and seek knowledge from other projects/ organizations.
- Support production of close-out report for projects.
- Offshore role on an equal time rota, with onshore time as required to support engineering development
- Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager

**Qualifications Experience**
(* Indicate either preferred or essential.)
- BSc within Engineering or Construction discipline.
- Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
- Extensive prior proven relevant experience on onshore and offshore projects and operations.
- Senior Operations experience is highly desirable
- Track record of positive interface with operational leadership structures (OIM, MTL, etc)
- Experience in managing project and maintenance campaign activities is a prerequisite.
