Outsourcing Senior

Our client an independent, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Outsourcing Senior for their office in Basingstoke.

You will be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of clients, dealing with a variety of management accounts, bookkeeping and VAT.

Key Duties include:

- Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts using Sage/XERO, including posting journals, calculating accruals/prepayments and reconciling control accounts, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Bookkeeping for clients including bank reconciliations, credit control etc.
- Preparation of VAT returns, EC Sales and Intrastat returns where necessary.
- Liaising with and developing relationships, with clients.
- Keeping Directors, management and other team members informed of developments.
- Attending client meetings where necessary, building and developing good working relationships with clients and colleagues to develop further business over time.
- Continuously develop own knowledge and skills by professional reading and attending regular courses/updates.
- Working with tax, payroll and accounts department colleagues on related issues.
- Ad-hoc advisory assignments, under the supervision of the managers.
- Any other reasonable duties required.
- You may also be required to attend the firm's other offices across Hampshire from time to time.

You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA or working towards one of these, although QBE will be considered. You will also have bookkeeping, management accounts, accounts and VAT experience, preferably gained within practice.

A good working knowledge of Sage and Xero would also be an advantage.
