Contract Scotland is thrilled to partner with a well-established civil engineering contractor as they seek an Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their team, working on projects across Scotland. **As an Estimator or Senior Estimator, your key responsibilities will include**:

- Reviewing Tender Information for completeness and raising concerns.
- Producing quantity take-offs from tender information/drawings.
- Preparing Sub-contract & Material enquiry documentation.
- Analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Discussing resourcing and works outputs with the team.
- Supporting the bid team by producing methodologies for works delivery.
- Attending internal Bid Team meetings and contributing to progress discussions.
- Working closely with the tender team to ensure high-quality submissions.
- Preparing clear tender/pricing documents for internal adjudication.
- Collaborating with the tender planner to align with the client’s program.
- Handing over successful bids to the commercial team.

**To succeed in this role, you should have**:

- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in civil engineering.
- First Principles Estimating experience is essential.
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Estimating software.
- Rail experience is desirable, but civils experience in other sectors will be considered.
- Site-based/operational experience before transitioning to Estimating is advantageous.
