**Job title: Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger Assistant**

**Location**:This role is based in our Head Office in Coventry.

**Rate of pay**:£25,000 to £30,000 per annum

**Hours**:40 hours per week, over 5 days

**The role**

Key responsibilities include:

- Process invoices on the accounting software to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Process consolidated invoices within the Group.
- Process planned preventative maintenance invoices across the group.
- Liaising with the suppliers as required.
- Process and review credit card statements in line with company policies.
- Process and review company expenses in line with company policies.
- Run aged creditors weekly and make sure all invoices have been posted within their area.
- Process Capex invoices and produce Capital Expenditure Reporting for the Group Accounts.
- Assist with month end process such as accruals and prepayments.
- Ensures a structured approach to supplier reconciliations.
- Works closely with the Purchase Ledger Supervisor to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the nominal ledger.

**About you**

To be successful in the role of Finance Assistant it is essential that you have:

- Significant proven experience within an Purchase Ledger role.
- You will also need to be able to work under you own initiative, priorities your workload and adapt accordingly.
- You will be required to have exceptional organisational skills.
- Possess a positive can-do attitude
- Attention to detail
- Copes well under pressure
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and excited about a career within accounting.
- Shows initiative and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with other areas of the business.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal and external stakeholders.
- Have experience with month end processes such as accruals and prepayments.
