The School
Guildhouse School offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 15+ from all over the world. The Creative Commerce Board (CCB)

The CCB is a panel of industry experts willing and able to share their knowledge in pursuit of inspiring the schools students beyond their classroom experience. In collaboration with Guildhouse School staff, the CCB inspires students to be creative, develop their intuition, and make a positive contribution to society in the future Helping our students to become Tomorrows Change Makers.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As a Board member you will support the school's leadership team to organise and deliver a programme of seminars, lectures and informal events, introducing your real-world expertise and industry experience to students studying at the school.

There will be opportunities for a broad range of Board-led discussions and for Board members to participate in talks and presentations on topical events in the business and finance world, either as a group or individually.

CCB members subscribe to the schools vison and values, and in doing so, inherit the ability to act as a critical friend to the school.
Members of the CCB are encouraged to hold the Headmaster and the wider school community accountable for achieving its vision and values by appropriately challenging the schools thinking and to offer advice and guidance where needed.

Working in partnership with the school, the CCB assists in the formulation, development, and delivery of the schools 5-year strategic plan.
The aim is for the CCB to contribute towards upholding the values of Guildhouse School and the core values of CATS Global Schools (CGS), and that standards and educational achievement remain high priorities.

REPORTS TO
You report to the Chair of the Creative Commerce Board (CCB). You will work within the framework set by and under the general direction of the Headmaster.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

**Board members will**:
Work in a senior leadership position, with knowledge of high-level business decision making
Is in a specialised sector for example sciences, engineering, The Arts, legal, Charity or e-commerce
Be looking to make a difference to the education sector and to the development of students for entering the commercial world.
Applicants should demonstrate a good awareness and understanding of key business issues and insights effecting their sector, and be enthused about sharing that learning with the students in an effective way
Be able to attend at least 3 meetings at Guildhouse School per year.

TERMS AND BENEFITS
Board members are not financially remunerated. The school will pay for training and events that you attend, and expenses for travel and subsistence may be claimed. The school will assist in the creation of activities suitable for the assignment being carried out and will provide information to assist in any pedagogical advice. The school is also happy to provide advice and training if it is suitable for the betterment of the student experience.
