Senior Receptionist

Kingswood Medical Centre are looking for an organised, self-motivated and care driven individual with experience in primary care, to join the dedicated team as Senior Receptionist. This role offers the opportunity for the development of leadership skills, whilst gaining an insight into and taking responsibility for supporting the smooth running of business operations within a primary care setting.
You will also need to be responsible for the leadership and supervision of a team of receptionists, ensuring all reception duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
The following are the core responsibilities of the senior receptionist:
- Day to day running of the Reception/Admin function in order to provide a first-class service to patients and visitors. This includes ensuring tasks are equally allocated across all practice staff, ensuring that tasks are completed within agreed timescales
- Manage any difficult situations that may arise in addition to supporting staff that may require help or advice
- Manage and create rotas for both reception and clinical teams
- Contribute to the review and improvement of practice processes, and the dissemination of changes to the practice team, providing training as needed. Share best practice with senior colleagues as appropriate
- Monitor e-referral service worklists
- Manage holidays and absences
- Partake in annual QOF targets
- Able to cover reception staff when need arises
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Carry out system searches as requested
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
