**About the Role**

**Base Location**: Dublin however we will also consider one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes Belfast, Reading, Glasgow or Perth

**Salary**: €39,600 - €59,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

This central role will work with the Corporate Affairs team and the relevant local teams in SSE Energy Customer Solutions (ECS) to ensure integrated and successful delivery of communication and engagement activities across SSE's consumer business.

ECS has an ambitious plan to help customers and communities on their journey to net zero. To support the delivery of this we are looking to recruit an Internal Communications Officer to work with the business to deliver and embed the full scope of our strategic ambition, ensuring our teams stay connected and informed.

**In this exciting and fast-paced role, you will**:

- Be a storyteller. Create compelling content which brings the ECS and SSE strategy to life.
- Support, develop and deliver high-quality communication messages and materials in line with the ECS Communication and Engagement strategy.
- Support the planning, design and delivery of employee communications, in partnership with both the local business teams and wider Corporate Affairs team, crafting key messages aligned to our Purpose, Vision and Priorities, helping leaders talk to our teams in simple, easy to understand language.
- Build strong and trusted relationships across Corporate Affairs and the wider business, work closely with our local teams to deliver first class internal communications and engagement strategies that will engage our colleagues and support a purpose led business.
- Track and measure the employee engagement activity and experience, recommending adjustments to the strategy and delivery where required, making sure that we are meeting the needs of our people and helping senior leaders make the most out of every opportunity.
- Take a proactive approach to personal development, build skills and knowledge through experience and professional qualifications.

**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience in the design, development, and delivery of communication & engagement material to multiple audiences and stakeholder groups, preferably with a relevant degree qualification.
- Enthusiasm for engaging with people and different audiences using your creativity and imagination to be resourceful and inventive in developing new ways of engaging whilst using a variety of tools and platforms.
- Strong copywriting skills, fluency in English with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Great networking and natural communication skills with the ability to connect with audiences by making a message easy to understand.
- Previous experience of working in an environment that demands a strong customer focus.
- Good organisational skills with the flexibility to work on multiple projects and prioritise a varied workload as well as strong presentation skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and digital communications tools such as Poppulo and Slido.
