**Job Purpose**

The post holder is employed by Somerset Care Limited, working at a Community Services base. The post holder will undertake administration duties to support the efficient operation of the base which provides community care for the region.

**Key Tasks**

1. Welcomes visitors to the office, ensuring a courteous and appropriate response is provided to staff, Customers, Customers’ families, professionals and other visitors.

2. Answers telephone calls in a professional manner. Provides information or advice on relevant matters, or transfers calls to the appropriate team member.

3. Carries out aspects of recruitment and selection of staff as required and supports the induction of new staff.

4. Issues personal protective equipment, paperwork etc. to staff.

5. Produces general letters and other correspondence to be sent to Customers, staff and other contacts as required.

6. Processes incoming mail and faxes, ensuring that these are dealt with or routed to the appropriate individuals.

7. Contributes to the invoicing and payroll process as required.

8. Stock control and purchasing of items such as personal protective equipment, stationery, uniforms, postage stamps, office sundries etc.

9. Collects outgoing mail and arranges for posting.

10. Organises and carries out general administrative support tasks as required by the management team including taking minutes of meetings.

**General**
- The Company Induction will give you the skills and knowledge to understand your role.
- You will attend regular review meetings, annual appraisals, team meetings, training courses and follow-up refresher courses as required.
- To participate in regular supervision, and annual appraisal meetings.
- Undertake other such duties as may be required by the Manager or Supervisor.
- You will maintain a professional and hygienic appearance.
- You will work in line with the policy on Infection Prevention and Control, according to your role.
