Hse Advisor

Talk Staff are looking for an experienced and motivated Health and Safety Advisor to join our fantastic client based in Derbyshire on a Temporary basis.

**To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials**:

- Knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systems.
- Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and best practice.
- Previous experience in a similar HSE role ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation to improve health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Development of written procedures / standards.
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to work flexibly.
- Essential to be a self-starter
- Able to act on own initiative.
- NEBOSH General Certificate and ideally a professional Environmental Qualification (e.g. IEMA)

**Within this position, you'll also be**:

- The HSE Advisor - will work within the HSE team to assist ongoing development of and continuous improvement to ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systems. You will be part of a team collaborating across all functions, from HSE, Production, Engineering, SupplyChain and maintenance.
- Development of Health, Safety and Environmental systems, policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental EHS improvement plans.
- Providing competent advice on HSE topics.
- Management of processes for assessments to be arranged and completed in required timescales and tracking of any required actions to completion.
- Supporting department managers in required HSE activities.
- Continuously look for improvements and implement HSE improvement opportunities

**Salary & Working Hours**

Salary is £16.17 per hour

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm & Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
