Robertson Bell are pleased to be supporting an educational organisation, based in Southwest London, to recruit an Finance Officer on a permanent basis. This is an important role within the Finance team and key point of contact for non-financial staff withfinance related queries.

**The main responsibilities of the role are as follows**:

- Playing a key part in an efficient month end process, taking responsibility for ensuring accruals, prepayments and journals are accurate and posted to the system.
- Reconciling supplier accounts, credit card statements, bank statements and wider ledgers.
- Ensuring that the purchase and sales ledger are efficiently managed through timely processing and chasing of invoices, verifying the required receipts or approvals are in place.
- Supporting finance and wider operational staff with ad-hoc requests.

This role is brilliant for someone who has a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role and is ready to take on a more hands-on approach to their work. Training will be provided along with great benefits, including generous holiday and pension.
- A relevant finance qualification is ideal.
- Have had recent experience working in a similar role, with responsibility for the Purchase Ledger and month end.
- Have a positive attitude, proactive approach to work and genuine willingness to undertake tasks to support the wider organisation.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Be a basic to intermediate Excel user.
