HRGO are seeking grounds maintenance operatives to join our client, a prestigious housing assocation, in the Carlisle area.

**Job title**: Grounds Maintenance

**Hourly rate**: £11.16 per hour, paid weekly

**Hours**: Mon-Fri 8.30am-4pm (35 hours per week in total)

**Duties**
- Mow lawns and trim hedges
- Sweep walkways and remove litter
- Maintain flower beds and garden areas
- Prune trees and shrubs
- Fly tipping
- Water plants and grass as needed
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in grounds maintenance preferred, but not essential
- Ability to operate and maintain grounds-keeping equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform grounds maintenance tasks, including lifting and bending, carrying heavy equipment
- Happy to work in all weather conditions
