**THE ROLE**
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our small Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone proactive and looking for a role with autonomy and an opportunity to learn from our talented team.
You’ll be responsible for managing our supplier processes, assisting with credit control, supplier account and bank reconciliations and other ad hoc finance tasks such as data analysis and reporting.
**WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**
- Accurately process supplier invoices, set up new suppliers; the invoices will need to be authorised, coded and posted into Dext and Xero (our invoice processing and accounting softwares)
- Communicate with suppliers and address supplier queries, and providing quality customer service
- Coordinate supplier payment runs
- Coordinate weekly creator payout process and reconciliation
- Take ownership of expense lines in Xero and ensuring everything is allocated correctly
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and report to Leadership team
- Assist Management Accountant with month end reporting
- Provide support to wider Finance team as needed, assisting with ad hoc projects and tasks
- Challenge the status quo and proactively think of processes which could improve efficiency in the role
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- 1+ year experience in an accounts payable role in a fast-paced environment (e-commerce sector an advantage)
- Currently studying, or desire to study, towards a professional accountancy qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA)
- Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
- Proactive with a can-do attitude in the face of ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail and efficiency, and the ability to handle large volumes of data
- Strong communication skills to liaise with and influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products
- Experience using Xero (an advantage, but willingness to learn is essential)
- Ability to successfully time manage, prioritising workload to meet deadlines
