Code Camp is Australia's leading childcare provider and we are growing fast in the UK We have partnered with over 150 UK primary schools since 2018 and taught over 120,000 kids to code globally since 2013. We are looking to make a hugely positive impact on STEM Education. Our staff work hard and love the collaborative effort of creating unique and engaging learning experiences for kids. We are looking for fun and energetic staff to assist at our holiday camps and after-school clubs

The coding that is taught at Code Camp is relatively basic (for most kids this will be their first time learning to code, so an in depth knowledge is not necessary). We will ask all successful applicants to take an hour or two to familiarise themselves with the coding that will be taught at camp.

Positions available

**Class Leader**
- Deliver our lesson plan in an energetic and engaging way to a class of up to 16 students
- Responsible for keeping the class on track
- Provide direction to assistants
- Responsible for registration and end of club procedures

**Teaching Assistant**
- Provide one on one help to individual students during the club
- Help with students falling behind
- Deal with behaviour in a friendly way
- Make sure that all children leave happy

**Required Skills**:

- Experience of working with children (ideally, groups of children)
- Experience of leading or supporting group sessions
- A vibrant and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
- Mature outlook and common sense
- Professional
- Work well in a team environment
- Be able to take initiative when working unsupervised
- Fluent in conversational English
- Confident with using basic technology (e.g. tablets, Chromebooks etc)

**FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED**

**Key information**

We are currently looking for Lead Teachers and Assistants to work at a number of after school clubs at primary schools.

Most of our after school clubs run from 3:30pm-4:30pm so we can only offer one hour a day.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 1-5 per week

**Salary**: £16.00-£25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- working with children: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- DBS (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Oxford, Oxfordshire (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 11/08/2023
