**About the role**:
The Governance Team is responsible for servicing many of the University’s principal committees. The Governance Team is expanding to take on responsibility for a wider range of committees within the central governance function and to enhance its ability to deliver a high-quality and responsive service. The new role of Deputy Head of Governance has been created as a part of that process.

The Deputy Head of Governance will support the Head of Governance and the University Secretary in ensuring that the University observes best governance practice and maintains highly effective committee processes and records. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting key committees appropriate to the seniority of the post. This will include attending meetings and writing minutes. The Deputy Head will also have line-management responsibilities within the team.

The post is available immediately.
