Learning Support Assistant - Chelmsford
- Part Time 2-3 days a week - can adjust to your availability
- Term time only. 8:30AM-3:30PM

We work with Primary schools, SEND and Alternative Provisions in Chelmsford. We match your skill sets and experience to a child with identified needs. These needs are a range of academic, social and emotional support, and developmental. You could be supporting a child with Global Development Delay, ASD, Trauma or SLCN, or others.

What they all have in common is the need for connection, which will be the foundation of any development. They need you to believe in their strengths and capabilities and champion them when opportunities arise. They need you to be proactive and use your rapport and foresight to anticipate things that might present as a challenge for them, and pre-empt the reactions that this may trigger in order to either avoid, overcome or de-escalate the situation.

- Please note: to work as an LSA you will need to have eligibility to work in the UK and an Enhanced Child workforce DBS or a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members
- Provide support and assistance to children with special education needs
- Educate and engage children in various activities and learning experiences
- Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children
- Collaborate with other support associates and teaching staff to implement individualised plans for children with special needs
- Monitor and document the progress of children's development and behaviour
- Implement strategies to support the social and emotional well-being of children
